BIOGRAPHY
The allure of a public execution...
The insatiable curiosities of life after death...
The delicious cruelty of bondage and degradation...
WAITING FOR GOD's debut c.d.
The powerful, yet delicate thread that binds all of these attractions;  moreover, the dark musings it will invoke.
WFG's brand of melodic darkwave has been drawing a lot of attention lately.  The band continues to elicit ave reviews, both locally and abroad.
There is serious label interest as well:  their innovative style of percussive industrial dance has not gone unnoticed, and has poised to conquer new markets.
Their first EP "Rapture", sold very well in indie sections and through international mail order. (FACTORIA)
Band members include: Daemon Cadman, Martin Myers, and Greg Price.
Daemon is the voice behind the fury, which sometimes borders on combative.  She skillfully adds just enough Goth infusion to twist, torture, and soothe.
Martin, (Spahn Ranch, Corpus Christi), sets a haunting soundscape with his programming.  His trademark driving synth loops and ominous strings, are the foundation of WAITING FOR GOD.
On drums, Greg seethes with barely controlled aggression, adding nicely to the eerie and subversive tone.
WAITING FOR GOD have been invited to appear on compilation for CLEOPATRA, SIDE LINE magazine (Belgium), INDUSTRIAL NATION and IMPACT (Canada).
Remix requests are abundant.  Having just finished one for CHRISTIAN DEATH, upcoming works include, BIRMINGHAM 6, CHRIST ANALOGUE, SPAHN RANCH, and THE FOURTH MAN.
Things to watch fo include an interview due soon from SHADOW CAST magazine (Germany), upcoming pess in PROPAGANDA (U.S.), and FUNERAL (U.S.) magazines, and a recent video shot by Blair Dobson for "Quarter Inch Thick".

...life after death?
...B & D?
ALL GOOD THINGS ARE WORTH WAITING FOR.

"Last of the great finds of MusicWest is a band who played their first gig ever at MusicWest and, lthough it didn't go that well, what I did hear of them was pretty amazing.  The band I am referring to goes by the name WAITING FOR GOD and is the best industrial hard-core to come out of Vancouver for a long time.  WAITING FOR GOD are my personal pick fo the find of MusicWest.  It's definitely about time Vancouver produced some decent industrial music.  If you agree, then check these guys out.  They're amazing."

-The Gleaner, Vancouver, Sept. '94
"The industrial underground is up and running according to Vancouver's WAITING FOR GOD.  Utilizing trance-like repetitive dum machine programming, on which guitar and vocals are layered, this outing just keeps you locked in for the duration.  While not as complex and diverse as SKINNY PUPPY, KMFDM, and MINISTRY- bands who they are obviously influenced by- this nevertheless spews angst and venom via the tracks "Sickness Ridden Soul Machine", "Quarter Inch Thick", and "1000 Pieces."  The female vocals do add a welcome difference to this oft-male dominated music.  Interesting.
-M.E.A.T. Magazine, Toronto, Oct. '94

"...a great techno band named WAITING FOR GOD has put together a tasty little three-song cassette designed to create interest fom the potential investors and labels.  Strong vocals, great sound-minutes of crunchy, dancy fun.  The tease has worked, too.  Seems that some German and American labels are sniffin' 'em out pretty seriously.  A tour is "imminent" according to the band's manager Laura, so anyone looking to book a great band as part of an electronic theme night (sort of a NINE INCH-y, FRONT LINE-y kinda schtick) can send their requests to Kerr Music Group..."

"WAITING FOR GOD unleashes an angst-ridden fury with RAPTURE.  Dramatic vocals, and death rock guitar against a backdrop of heavy synth loops set the dark atmosphere WAITING FOR GOD leads you through.  A must for all gothic electrofeaks."

-Discorder, Vancouver, Nov. '94
"Daemon Cadman, the vocalist for WFG is unbelievable!  She moves fom soothing, beautiful vocals to a raw aggressive style with ease and does them both amazingly well.  I can say with confidence she has one of the best female voices on the scene.  The music is good too,- excellent keyboard work, nicely blended with some good guitars.  If there is a drawback to this three-song cassette release, it's that there is not a lot of diversity between songs.  But when it's this good there doesn't need to be."

-Industrial Poetry, Internet, Nov. '94
"This Canadian duo blends various influential kinds of music like dark wave, crossover, or elektro and adds to that aggressive and astonishing result a marvelous female voice full of anger... Notice as well that this 3-track tape was produced by Tom Ferris of MOEV!  WAITING FOR GOD is an aggressive reply to the European gothic scene which constantly repeats itself!  "Quarter Inch Thick" or "1000 Pieces" should convince you of the potential and innovative character of this band."

-Sideline Magazine, Belgium, Jan. '95
"...Local faves WAITING FOR GOD were equally as impressive (SMP, NUMB).  Their dark atmosphere permeated the club, buttressed by industrial dance beats and lashes of dark wave guitar.  Counterpointing it all was Daemon Cadman's Goth-infused vocals.  Cadman's transforming into a mesmerizing performer, and God are a phenomena waiting to happen."

"The debut release from Vancouver duo WAITING FOR GOD, 'RAPTURE', was produced by MOEV's Tom Ferris, and contains three songs:  '1000 Pieces', 'Quarter Inch Thick', and 'Sickness Ridden Soul Machine'.  Consisting of vocalist Daemon Cadman and Martin Myers who skillfully handles the guitar, keyboard, and programming tasks.  WFG weaves its musical path around imaginative synth loops, driving drum tracks, crunching guitar riffs, and Cadman's seductively raging vocal work, which sounds like a graceful melding of Sinead and Siouxie.  Fans of SKINNY PUPPY and SPAHN RANCH will find themselves at home with this duo- WAITING FOR GOD is a band that will usher us into the apocalyptic nineties and their release, RAPTURE, is a taste of industrial gothic goodies that will whet your appetite for more."

-Discorder, Vancouver, Apr. '95
"Energy packed, spiral tip to the depths of somewhere unknown.  Rock me, Goth Maiden (Daemon Cadman), Rock me!  Well produced, powerful, spellbinding.  This music makes me want to let go and dance my suffering bright black, live the pain and love.  It makes me want to write poetry.  This one year old industrial, local Vancouver band is doing amazingly well over-seas and are currently working on a video with Blair Dobson.  WAITING FOR GOD is one of the most promising and talented new bands to come out of Vancouver, and everyone who has heard them knows it.  So if you haven't heard them yet, make sure that you do and you decide if I'm exaggerating."

-In Hell's Belly, Vancouver, Apr. '95
"Industrial electro crossover doesn't get along with female vocals?  Far from it, as the Vancouverite duo convincingly proves that this can be a definitely successful combination.  Probably it's because the vocalist Daemon Cadman does not feel the necessity to warble on a high-pitched, nerve-shattering level incessantly, but uses her voice as a versatile instrument, reaching from aggessive to melodic harmonies.  Daemon's voice is supported by Martin Myers' fierce sound attacks, sweeping the listene away in a veritable flood of sounds.  The tape's first track alone- 'Sickness Ridden Soul Machine'- is worth the purchase of this 3-track tape, but the other 2, 'Quarter Inch Thick' and '1000 Pieces', don't have to hide their faces.  In the next issue of 'ShadowCast' there'll be hopefully news concerning WAITING FOR GOD... Once again it's Vancouver, and you are bound to ask how many good bands this city will produce in the future."

-Shadow Cast, Germany, Apr. '95
"Up in Vancouver, everybody's WAITING FOR GOD's debut CD.  Programmer Martin Myers slashes through subgenres- industrial dance, darkwave, coldwave, torture tech, smidges of techno beats- taking no prisoners.  Singer Daemon Cadman belts out lyrics in the best gothesque voice since Siouxie, with harmonies vaguely reminiscent of X.  WFG's totally unique; dark, throbbing, pushing, driving, with Daemon adding an atmospheric yearning previously unknown within industrial dance... Watch out Trent, God's Waiting For you!"
